Two trams collided with .terrific force on the edge of a fifty feet cliff at Watson’s Bay, in the vicinity of the notorious "Suicides’. Gap’’ to-day. The conductor of one was hurled through space and struck the guard rail, which prevented his descent clown the precipice to the sea. Twenty-nine passengers were more or less injured, but only two were taken to hospital. A|lan Vane, tramway conduqtor, is suffering from concussion and severe shock. Robert Clark, tram motorman, lias a fractured leg. .A number of passengers are suffering from abrasions, cuts, bruises and shock. The collision occurred on a single line. Both trams were damaged beyond repair. . ' 1 he wonder is that many people were not killed.
