RAIDS IN PARIS SEIZURE OF DOCUMENTS elaborate system of ESPIONAGE (LTnitt'd I’rc-MU Association—li.v Electric Telegraph—Copyright) ('‘Times” Cables) LONDON, 19th July. “The Times” Paris correspondent stales that reports from Communists serving in the French army were amongst documents seized when fifty police raided the others of “ Hermanito,” the official organ of the Communist Party. Police also raided the headquarters of Communist youths, when several were arrested.
“llumanite” is advocating at length Die holding of a anti-militarist demonstration on Ist August, (lie anniversary of (lie outbreak- of the war. The raid is said to have revealed the existence of complete plans for this purpose. Ollier documents contained reports.of naval and military armaments, giving evidence of the existence of an elaborate system of espionage.
