REGENT THEATRE:—RAMON N,O- - AND <<THE GIPSY CESS" ' ■ ' The management of J. C. Williamsbir Ltd., Regent Theatre, announce two! extra special attractions for Saturday, viz., Ramon Kovarro, the star of "Ben Hur" and "The Student Prince," in a modern story of the marriage tva-i ditions of royalty in the melting pot—: the court romance of a young Balkan* king and a girl of his people. The film: is entitled "Forbidden Hours." On the same programme On equally strong attraction will be the famous Eiu-opeati star Liane Haid in "The Gipsy Princess," -adapted from the famous musical comedy produced at the Prince of Wales'Theatre, London, a short while ago. The story deals with the romantic adventures of a young /prince who scandalises his aristocratic parents by falling in love with the pretty leader of a trOupe of dancers. All sorts of ob-. stacks are thrown in his way hy his' parents, even bis engagement to a young countess is announced, and a. reception held to celebrate it. Then a surprising twist in the story straight-, ens everything out. Oscar Marion,, as Prince Edwin, is a young man rapidly rising to stardom. The .plans are open at the Regent Confectionery and already the bookings give indication of a big attendance. MAJESTIC: TftREE STAR PRO= GRAMME A splendid, bright treble programme has been chosen, for this week-end at the. Majestic. The main feature is "Just Married", a sparkling comedy of neWlyweds" filled with funny situations. James Hall and Ruth Taylor play the: important roles. Mack Sennett's latest comedy romance "The Goodbye Kiss", starring Sally Eilers, and a host of young screen players in a story about the east side of New York and the war, is the second picture. No. 5 Music Master series is the third feature, and depicts scenes in the lives of Haydn and Mozart, the two famous composers. Plans are at the Majestic Confectionery.
