POULTRY SHOW

OPENED THIS AFTERNOON GOOD ENTRIES The Nelson Poultry Association's annual show opened in the Drill Hall this ' afternoon: Entries in the various classes ore very good and the show is well up to standard. ; A number of very fine i birds are on exhibition. The Old English Game section is as usual outstanding. Mr G. Miller has a very fine entry of Minorca? on view, while most of the fancy varieties of poultry are well represented. The fancy pigeons make a particularly good show. Although the entry of working Homers is not as big as usual the birds, are of very good quality. The bantams, particularly the Old English Game and modern Game, are (he* best seen here for many years. The utility poultry classes have filled well and some very fine birds are on show. Special lighting arrangements have been made for the show, which will be open to-night and to-morrow night. The prize list will be published tomorrow.
