MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT CHEAPER THAN A HOUSE LONDON, Ist July. Major Beaumont Thomas, the new Conservative member of the House of Commons for King’s Norton, lias solved the problem of the high cost of living by clomidling himself in a 50-ton yacht anchored® in the Thames off Chiswick. Tho yacht contains two staterooms, two cabins, a lounge, and a bathroom, and it accommodates six people. Major Thomas says lie finds this oncthird cheaper than living in a house, besides expediting his work.
