The price of Tasmanian potatoes was increased to-day £2 per ton. milking the wholesale price £2O, compared with £7 lliis time hist year. The "Sun'' newspaper, connnentin'g, says that Tasmania and Victoria are at present supplying (he whole of the Commonwealth, and unless the Federal Government removes the embargo on thi' importation of New Zealand potatoes, famine prices are likely to rule here until towards the end of the year.
