AT GLENHOPE

CHIMNEYS AOATN DOWN Two heavy shocks wen; experienced at about 8.30 o'clock last evening at Glenhope, which damaged seven out of nine chimneys. Two were brought right down and the others were so severely damaged thai they will have to be rebuilt. The damaged chimneys have been rebuilt twice already. Crockery in some houses was lipped from the shelves and broken. At about 4.13 o'clock this morning a prolonged shake was felt, but this wa.s described as "wavy and even" and did no damage.
