AN AUCKLAND AVIAATOR
BRINGS DOWN" GEJR.MAN AEROPLANE' AUCKLAND, Sept. 27. News of the success- of a young Auckland aviator, 2nd Lieu tenant Keith LCaldwell, has been reeoived by cablegram from London. The message states that he succeeded last week in 'bringing down a German aeroplane -whilst engaged in flying duties on- 'the western front. No ■particulars of the fight have 'been received*. Whilst lie was undergoing his training at Kohimaraima, Lieutenant Caldwell showed considterable aptitude as an aviator. His success in a combat w/ith the enemy amply justifies the expectations 'that were formed 1 of him' when he left to go on aoifc^^ervice. «—■—a^^— ma
