Mr H. Rowe to-day received advice that his son, Sapper Harold C. Rowe, was wounded in France on Sept. 16th.' Mr Rowe's son Norman was wounded on 18th August, but is now convalescent in England. Word has been received by Mr J. B. Saxon that his son, Lieut. Ken. Saxon, has been slightly wounded in the el' Bow. Mrs J. S. B<alck has received word that her husband, Lieut. J. S. Balck, has been wounded. Mrs Balck has also received a \Aible from Lieut. Balck himself from London stating that> the wound is slight andj that he is progressing favourably. Sergeant P. H. G. Bennett, D.C.M., ■(formerly of Palmerston North and Winganui), who has been in., hospital ill England off and on for soihe months, and has lately been on the Headquarters Staff in London, is now pronounced fit for duty, and will proceed to the training establishment with th& view to returning to the front. Sergeant Bennett Avon his D.C.M. in Gallipoli, where he was wounded. A few months ago he underwent a second operation for the removal of a bulle't from his hip ,and he is now quite fit again. • •
