MISSION AT MOTUEKA
A correspondent writes :—L,asfc night., in connection the Trigge Mission, about 100 marched' ,up and -down the main street carrying -torches and 'Chinese lanterns. Singing was indulged in en route, and at the corners a ring was formed, a song given, a short address by Kev. Val.- Trigge,. and; an invitation to the meeting ' held/ in 'the Church at 8 o'clock. The invitation was largely availed of, and the building was filled, including. the platform'. About a dozen seekiers came to the front and 1 signed cards expressing their desire to live better lives l>v the help of God> - 1 To-day th'e Motueka ladies are entertaining the oldi folks at an afternoon tea. Some half-dtoaen owners of motorcars have kindly agreed to drive the more feeble among the pioneers to and from the Methodist Church buiWing. A photograph is to be taken of the gathering, and. much interest is evinced in the* proceedings generally. Besides the ordinary meetings, which run oil until Tuesday night, it. has been arranged' for Mr Trigge to address a patriotic meeting in the Institute Hall at 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. Mr Hudson, „M. P., is taking the chair, and a collection is to be made for the Soldiers' Gift, lumd'. In the same buildinor an after-church rally will be held at 8.30 p.m. on Sundav. The last chance of hearing the talented Melbourne visitor will be on Tuesday night, when he recounts- the story of his life, v-blch has been po, favourably commented upon very often in .the press.
