J ROUMANIAN. OPERATIONS. AUSTRO-HUNGARIANS FIERCELY RESISTING. (Published in The Times.) (Rec. Sept. 21. 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 20. A correspondent reporting from Transylvania, states that the Austro-Hun-garians fiercely resisted the Roumanians in the Merisor defile in a two days' battle. Positions wore repeatedly taken and retaken, the Roumanians being ultimatelly the victoi's.
