In the junior championship Mrs C A Green -wins from MTes Tomlinson. This is the second- time running Mrs Green has won. The Red Cross Bogey Match will be played on Friday, September 22nd, players to arrange their own partners. This is the last match of the season. Included in the cargo of the TongaTiro were 80 -10-gallon casks of rennet, an importation usel in the production of cheese (states the Farmers' Union Advocate). Recent shortages of this material made New Zealand prices since the. war -rise rapidly to previously unknown values, and to-day rennet is quoted at £A per gallon. Approximately, each of the casks on the Tongariro contained ten gallons, which makes the total value of the shipment at least £3200. The actual financial loss represented oy the sinking of the rennet will be nothing . <fcmpared to the inconvenience caused, as the cheese factories are short of the coagulating su'bstance, and those who have lost their supplies by the wreck will have to. close down. The loss chiefly concerns Wellington, to which port the shipment was consigned.
