SERVIAN DIVISION'S SUCCESS
IN" EARLY OPERATIONS. (Reuter's Telegrams.) (Rec. Sept. 19, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, Sept, 18. Reuter's Odessa correspondent states that a Servian division in the early fighting in the Dobrudja repulsed eighteen attacks hy Germano-Bulgarians round Bayona, including German cavalry, who •tried to take the Servians in the rear. In three hours' close-quarters fighting, the enemy lost 5000. RUSSO-ROUMANIANS DRIVEN BACK. (Australian and N.£. Cable Association.) (Rec. Sept. 19. 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 18. The Daily Mail's Amsterdam correspondent states that the Vossiche Zeitung alleges that a German division east of Silistria drove back the Roumanians on the Russians, and that simultaneously the Bulgo-Germans outflanked the RussoRoumanian right, driving in the Servians. Thus Mackensen's line foi-med a loon forcing the Rnsso-Roumanians to withdraw.
