\ STRONG POSITIONS HELD. ADVANCE IN TRANSYLVANIA. (Published in The Times.) TjO'NDON, Sept. 18. The Times correspondent at Roumanian headquarters reports that the Russo-Rou-manians are falling back in the XWbrudja and taking up strong positions at R.asova, 10 miles south of Tcheraavoda, where, ■there is the onliv bridge across the Danube, and at Tuzla, 12 miles south of Constanza. A Roumanian official message says : We continued our advance on the northern and north-western fronts. Three towns were occupied, and Branshill is in our possession after frequently changing hands. A GERMAN COMMUNIQUE. LONDON", -Sept, 17. A German communique says : "We pressed back the Roumanians advancing against the Kokel sector on both sides of the Szokc-Iymd Rarhely. Mackensen's pursuit in the Dobrudja continues."
