The Germans thrice counter-attacked violently at night southward of Deniecourt and also eastward of Berny. They were repulsed with the heaviest losses. We further progressed at Berny and completely surrounded r>eniecourt. ..e took 1200 'prisoners, who state that the losses at Berny were eDormous. Two battalions were almost annihilated. Our air squads -bombed the railway stations at M'antilloss. Villericarbonel, and Horghy with great damage.
