Henry Thomas, a settler, as-r.d 57, shot his son, named William John, aged 18, and then suicided. Young Tacmas was in the act of lighting a fire, v.-.' in his father placed the muzzle of a g.*>- behind his ear, and fired, l>j ling his son instantly. .The father afterwards p aced the muzzle of .the gun to his mouth and blew is own'brains ont.
