UNREST ON THE WEST COAST.
CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. Mr G. -I*. Ticoh, a Greymouth business man, states; that though the -orining trouble oh the West Coast has been settled, temporarily, there exists a feeling of unrest, a' feeling that a itriai.of strength is imminent between the coal nnd gold miners and the eniplpyrera.7 A Sow agitators, he alleges,'are^doin^ all the mipcheif. The bulk- of; the. miners -seem to be satisfied* but these irresponsible agitators are stirring np strife. Ho expressed the opinion that whon the struggle cameit would affect every class in the community. The principle of preference io unionists will bo one of its outstanding features.
