MUNICIPAL LOAN PROPOSALS.
[United Press Association.] HASTINGS, Wednesday. The proposal of the Hastings Borough Council to raise a loan of £3,000 for sewerage extension purposes was to-day rejected at a poll by 349 votes to 278. WANGANUI, Wednesday. A poll was taken to-day on the proposal to raise a loan of £12,000 for gasworks extension, when little interest was manifested, the poll bein* carried by 110 tr 9X votes.
