NORTH DUNEDIN ELECTION PETITION.
AN AMICABLE SETTLEMENT. [United Press Association.] DUNEDIN. Wednesday. After both parties had jointly "examined the rolls and made an investigation they found that there would at kast be a majority of one or two votes for Mr Thomson for the North Dunedln seat. Mr Solomon ad vised, Mr Barclay not to proceed further with the petition, which advice Mr Barclay has accepted. The position will be notified to the Court tomorrow.
