RETIREMENTS IN THE CIVIL SERVICE
THE 65 TEARS' RULE TO BE ENFOBCED. [United Pbess Association.] WELLINGTON. Thursday . The "Post" says that the heads of departments in the Government service have received a memo from the Cabinet stating that "S&e rule as to the retirement of officials at 65 years is to be enforced. If the instructions be carried out it will mean the retirement from the service of a number of prominent officials.
