VARIOUS SUGGESTIONS FOR SETTLEMENT. (Received Jan. 28, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON. Wednesday. At the .conference of -.tho Women 's Labour League at Portsmouth, some speakers' advocated the- State making provision "for ' a mother four' months before childbirth", and for a year afterwards.- Others advocated the total prohibition of married women from working for a living.
