THE HUNTLY STRIKE.
END OF THE DISPUTE. [United Press Association.] | AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The Huntley miners' strike has now ended. This morning an adjourned meeting of the miners discussed the terms proposed by the Company through Mr R. McKenzie, Minister of Mines, and agreed by ballot to accept them in toto. , The terms are that the four alleged I "blacklegs" are to remain at work, the Company agreeing to dismiss them if it can bo proved at any time to the satisfaction of the directors that any of them aot in an arbitrary or revengeful manner. All officials of the Company must immediately withdraw from the membership of the Union, and ten days' wages will be paid the miners, this being the time which elapsed from the coming Jnto force, of the new Compensation for Accident Act and the Government guarantee covering miners' disease.
