Captain Edwin reported at 1240 p m. :— "Wind will change by cast and noitb-east, and after 12 hours the glass will fail," The Lady Barkly leaves for Golden Bay at 10 o'clrck to-nishf. The Wallace left for West Coast ports at three o'clock this afternoon,; The Kennedy leaves Greymouth to-day for Wesiport aiul Nelson. The Charles Edward is due at Picton from Wanganui to-day. She proceeds thence to Wellington. The Murray left for Wellington last evening. The Wanaka left Onebunga this afternooDj will arrive here to-morrow night, and sail at noon on Thursday for Picton, Wellington, and Lyttelton. The Grafton will arrive here from WelliDgton and Ly.telton on Friday morning, and sail for Westporfc and Greymouth at 1 p.m. the same day. The Hawea left Ljt'e'tnn at 9 p.m. on SatHrday, a f d arrived at Wellington at 12 25 pm. on Sunday; sailed at a quarter past noon yesterday, and reached Picton at 4 15 p.m. ; left at 6 p.m., and arrived here at 2 o'clock this mcrnicg. She sailed for Picton, Wellington. Lyttelton.and Dunedin at 1 p m. A telegram from The Bluff says :—Holding that Chief Pilot Thompson was to blame for the wreck of the barque England's Glory, the Bluff Harbour Board have discharged him. During the past three weeks (pays the JV. Z. Times) the Government steamer Hinemoa has done the state some service t*he has conveyed 681 Volunteer troops, besides a few members of the A.C. force, from yarious ports of the colony to Opunake, and has transported 788 Volunteers from OpuDake to the several ports of disembarkation. Captain Fairchild (. onsidering ti at he has conveyed several thousands of Imperial troops by sea during the last eighteen years) speaks in the highest terms of the conduct of our citizen soldiers, whether hailing from South, East, North, or West, whilst on board his vessel. To use Captain Fairchild's words, " There was not a tipsy man belonging to the Volunteers came on board or left my vessel during the two or three weeks I have teen engaged in the transport service."
