Sydney, Tuesday. News haa been received here that the schooner Henrietta, 29 tons, of this port, owned by Mr Fasheley, has foundered at sea while on her voyage to New Caledonia, and that ten persons have lost their lives by the disaster. It has been ascertained that the Henrietta was overloaded when she left port. It is expected that the Government will shortly commence legal proceedings iu connection with the expenditure ©f the award to the Milburn Creek Copper Mining Company. Wednesday. The Treasurer delivered his financial statement in the Legislative Assembly last night. He showed that the revenue for last year amounted to £6,348 000, and the expenditure to £5,157,000, He estimate* the revenue for the present year at £6,346,000, and the expenditure at £5.961,000. No increase of taxation or of Custom duties is proposed. A rtviaion of the system of leasing pastoral land is to be made with a view to obtaining increased rents.
