LOKDON, Oct. 11. The frozen beef hrought by the steamship Orient from Melbourne was sold at Smithfield market to-day, and realised an average of five pence half-penny per pound. The meat was in excellent condition. Conso's 99. The market rate of discount haß advanced to 4£ per cent. There has been no change in the Bank rate. A bßcquet took place at Newcastle on Tyne last night, under Conservative auspices.
