Eesolved, on the motion of tho Bishop of Nelson, That clocks being part of furniture with which all new schools should be fitted, a clock be granted to the junior division of the Toi toi Valley school. Eesolved, That the Secretary he authorised to purchase one gross Nelson's brief History, twenty copies of Miss Thompson's History of England, and sis ball frames. BesolTed, on the motion of Mr Boat, That advertisements he inserted in the newspapers inviting applications from candidates of either sex for two bursaries in the Wellington Normal school of the value of £40 per annum each, tenable for two years; also for three scholarships in the same school of the value of £20 por annum each. The agas of all male candidates must be not less than 16 years, aad of female candidates 15 years, the subjects of examination will be tfee same as for Standard VI., but the ■ examination will be more searching than, that which' would enable a pupil to pass this standard in the public achools.
