The Australian and New Zealand mails via San Francisco which left Auckland on the 26th April were delivered here to-day. The Orient Company's sjeamsbip Lusitania arrived at Plymouth to-day from Australia.
Consols remain at 100£ ex dividend.
New Zealand 5 per cent 10 40 loan 105; New Zealand 5 per cent 1889 loan 105; New Zealand 4£ per cent 1879-1904 loan 108.
Adelaide wheat ex warehouse 48s; New Zealand wheat 455. Adelaide flour ex warehouse 33s 6d. Australian tallow, best beef, 355; best mutton 37s 6d.
Later intelligence from Ireland reports that further riots hare occurred at Shrule iv County Mayo between the police and peasantry, but the disturbances are now subsiding, the rioters having been almost entirely dispersed.
News is to hand from Ireland that attempts were made last night to wreck the train conveying troops to the disaffected districts. The lines were torn up in se7eral places, but owing to the vigilance of the railway officers accidents to tho trains were averted.
At the wool Bales to-day 7800 bales were offered. A firm and active demand was experienced, The present series of auctions closes on the Ist July.

Tenders for the New South Wales loan of £2,050,000, to bear interest at the rate of 4 per cent, were opened today. The total amount offered was found to be £4,000,000. Tenders at £103 8a and upward? will receive allotment in foil,
The homeward Australian mails via Suez and Brindisi which left Melbourne on the 25th April were delivered here to-day.
Calcutta, June 7th. Telegrams have been received from Candahar, reporting tbat further fighting has taken place at Gershy between the rival adherents of Ayoub Kban and Ameer Abdul Rahman, resulting in the defeat of the followers of Ayoub, St. Petersburg, Juno 7th. It is announced here that tbe Russian Government has determined to support Prince Alexander of Bulgaria in his demands for reform in the Government of bis Principality.
