Melbouhnb, Tuesday. In the Legislative Council thin evening a motion introduced by the Hon Mr Head, a Government supporter, disagreeing with the President's ruling in regard to the Reform Bill was negatived after a debate. It has transpired, however, that at a caucus of members of the Council it was agreed to waive the tectmical grounds of objections to the reception of the Reform Bill in the Assembly, and to proceed with' the consideration of that measure on its merits. Wednesday. The Legislative Assembly will to-day discuss a motion to be introduced by the Hon: Mr Cuthhert in favor of the Reform Bill being read a first time under protest. Sailed — Arawata, for the Bluff. Arrived— Albion from the Bluff. Albany, Wednesday. Arrived— P and O Company's steamship Hydaspes with the Suez mail.
