RESIGNATION OF MR BRYCB. Wkixington, Tuesday. At a late hour yesterday evening Mr Bryce forwarded to the Premier hia resignation as a member of the Ministry in consequence of his colleagues refusing in Cabinet to accept his stlvice for the immediate adoption of active measures againat Te Whiti and Parihaka. Bryce quits the Ministry on perfectly friendly terms. It is understood that Mr Rolleston will take temporary charge of the Native Department. The charges against two publicans for Sunday traffic were heard to-day. Judgment was reserved. S&lvator Cemino was fined in a nominal penalty for a br«ach of tbe Births Deaths and Marriages Act by neglecting to register the birth of a child within the period prescribed in the Act.
