BRIGHTWATER COURT.
• Several informations were laid for breach of tho Road Board by-laws, and the defendants were fined in each case. Police v. "King, of Richmond. — This was an information under "The Neglected and Criminal Children's Act, 1867," the father being sued to contribute towards tbe support of his son, sent from Nelson to tbe Industrial School at Caversham. Ordered to jay 2s 6d per week. Martin v. Chalmers.— This was an information under the Fencing Ordinance. Plaintiff was nonsuited with costs, the Bench remarking that a civil action should be brought. Mr Bunny appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Pitt for the defendant. Fairey v Steer for £5 Is 7d, for goods supplied. Judgment for plaintiff with costs. Cock and Buckeridge v. Midgley for £12 4s 7d. Judgment for plaintiffs. Mr Atkinson appeared for the'plaintiffs. Price v. Siggelkow for £4 3s 6d, for goods supplied. Judgment for £3 3s 6d. Mr Pitt appeared for the p'aintiff. Cock and Buckeridge v. Pabl for £9 15s 33 for goods supplied.— Judgment for defendant with costs. Cock aud Buckeridge v. Hodgkinson for £6 8s 7d. Judgment for plaintiffs with costs.
