The Albanian Chiefs have replied to the request of Dervish Pasha that they should submit without opposition to the cession of Dulcigno. They state that they cannot agree to its cession and will defend their territory with their lives. A body of Nizams were landed by Dervish Pasha but were prevented by the Albanians from entering Dulcigno. November 9. The Porte is sending further reinforcements of troops to Dervish Pasha, who together with Riza Pasha has now left the neighborhood of Dulcigno. [Special to the Sydney papers. ] The race between Laycock and Hosmer, the American sculler, on the Thames resulted in favor of the Australian. The betting at the start was 2 to 1 on Laycock. Hosmer led for a mile and a quarter, when Laycock passed him, and kept the lead to the finish. The indictment drawn np against five members of Parliament, namely, Parnell, Dillon, Biggar, Sullivan, and Seaton, charges them with conspiring to prevent the payment of rent, tbe enforcing of legal processes, and the letting of farms, also with exercising coercion and a general system of terrorism.
