Melbourne, Friday. The entries for the forthcoming races are very much below expectations. Saturday. There will be a special performance of the Exhibition Cantata during the couiiog race week. A gtand demonstration of the Trade and Friendly Societies will take place at an early date at the Exhibition, The Stmusa Band performed at the Exhibition yesterday, and attracted a large audience. The attendance during the day was 10,000. Stdkky, Friday. Hennessy's brandy, case 35a 6d, bulk, quarters, 10s fid ; New Zealand oats, la lOd to 2s 2d ; tnaizej 2s Id to 23 3d. A delaidb, Friday. Wheat, 4s 6d. The market is very strong. Town flour, £10 53 to £10 10s ; Country, £9 5s to £9 10s. Freights to London, steamers, 60s ; sailing vpssels, 35s to 37s 6d. Freights to the United Kingdom from Adelaide, 40s ; from outports, 42> l 3 6d. Freights generally are firm. :
