Sydney, Thursday. The new rush is now said to be over done It is currently reported that the general elections are fixed for the end of the month. Sailed— Australia for San Francisco via Auckland, with the homeward English mail. Melbourne, Friday. The steamer Albion has arrived here with the assistance of the tug Rescue. Mr Fanell, who v?as dismissed by the Service Ministry, has been reappointed to the post of Parliamentary Librarian. The Government also intend to reinstate the various Ministerial retiring officers.
