The Home Secretary has consented to preBent to her Majesty a memorial from over 200 mayors and ex- mayors of England and Wales in favor of the abolition of the restrictions to marriage with a deceased wife's sister. The memorial, which is, in the form of a large album bound in morocco, each signature occupying a distinct place, is headed with the signatnres of the Lord Mayors of London and York, and prays the Royal countenance to the removal of the restrictions complained of.
