After nine weeks' medical treatment it was declared necessary by Dr. Macgiflivray "to amputate the inj ured limb. At that juncture the extract was applied, and the wound speedily cured without amputation. v . The daughter of Mr Junghenn, suffering frcm di. ease of the bone, as pronounced Drs Atkinson and Boyd, was cure*! just; as speedily. Ihe extract inwardly taken, regulates the action of the kidneys, cures dysentry and dianhoßa, and is the surest curative agent and preventive of contagion in scarlet, typhoid and intermittent fever.
