Melbourne, Saturday, j The sugar market is active. Sydney, Monday. At an open air meeting on Saturday night, numbering 1800 persons, resolutions were passed endorsing the action of the Legislative Council in amending the Stamp Duties Bill. Compagnoni, a well known confectioner, and one of the largest caterers for the supply of refreshments at the Exhibition, becomes insolvent.
