Stdnbt, Tuesday. Serious floods have occurred in the Richmond River, and the streets of Casino are completely submerged, and boats are now engaged in saving the lives and property of the inhabitants. Newcastle, Tuesday. It ia reported that the colliery proprietors now working under the Vend scheme in this district intend to reduce the wages of the men and the price of coal by 25 per cent, in order that they may be in a position to compete with the collieries not bound by the Vend rules.
