CRICKET MATCH.

WAKEFIELD V. NELSON.

The return match between these Clubs is being played in the Botanical Reserve today. In consequence of the heavy rain the ground is very heavy and the wicket very indifferent. Halliday having won the toss for Nelson decided to go in. Naylor and S. Bolton were the first to represent Nelsou with the bat. The wickets fell very fast, none of the Nelsonians being able to stand against the splendid bowling of G. Fowler, who took seven wickets, IlaUiday and the two Wigzells being bowled by him iu three consecutive balls. The last wicket fell for the wretched total of 15. The Nelsoniuus immediately went into the field, W. Eden and Arnold being sent in first for Wakefield. The latter was clean bowled by the first ball from .T. Wigzell. W. Ede», after having skied two balls into Naylor'a hands, both of which were declined, was clean bowled by a shooter from J. Wigzell after having made 7.
