It is a curious coincidence, says a London society journal, that by the deaths of two officers— one in the CabuJ, the other in the Zuln campaign— the Catholics have gained two peerages. These were Lord Oasulton and the Hoa E. Wjatt-Edgell. Both were elder sons and Protestants, and the second sons are, as it happens, in both caiea " 'Terts."
