COUNCIL.
Col. Brett moved the adoption of the report of the Petitions Committee that Mr Jackson had done nothing to justifly his removal from the public service. A debate ensued, a majority saying that to pass the motion would be subversive of discipline in the public service. Ultimately the discussion was adjourned till next day.
