Mr Acton Adams is causing a great deal of unnecessary correspondence, aud 1 think it. would have boun batter hid it not been published, but at the same time I think it very unfair to hint that Mr Adams' reply is iv part untruthful. I refer to the letter in this morning's Colonist signed b.y " Bell the Cat," where he says "Rumor No. 1 has it that opinion is by no means unanimous as to who was head boy at the College twenty yeara ago, Sec." In justice to Mr Adams, as an old schoolfellow, I feel-it right to inform Mr " Bell the-Cat " that hi,* rumor U eutirely without foundation. I:i December, 1859, Actou Adams, being the head boy, was appointed by the Rev. J C Bagsbaw* the first Principal, to read the address to Governor Browne ou the day of the laying of the foundation stove of the new College.
