Adelaide, Monday. The following are further particulars of Cape news by the Lusitania: — Colonel Pearson has been invalided and gone home. Sir Bartle Frere had returned to Cape Town, where he was enthusiastically received. A large quantity of commissariat stores have been burnt at Greyton. The report of the Zulu raid into Natal is devoid of foundation. A portion of the submarine cable has arrived at Burbaw. The British advance into Zulnland commenced on May 29. It was expected the troops would at once make a dash on Ulundi. Cetewayo's chief kraal. Owing to the heavy rains much sickness prevailed amongst the officers and men of the Coast column. It is stated that reinforcement have joined Cetewayo, and that the Yesmaining camp was surprised by Zulus on the 29th May. Stdnet, Monday. Sailed— Tararua, on Saturday, for Auckland. The steamer Rowena has arrived. Her cargo from China for New Zealand consists of 600 chests of tea and 400 cases of sundries. A telegram from Jeriiderie to-day says that a raid upon the place hy the Kelly gang is expected. It is expected that Parliament will be prorogued shortly. The Exhibition buildings are rapidly approaching completion. Mblboubne, Monday. Le Loup is hacked to win £20,000 on the Cup. The Weiberg case for the Avoca gold robbery is remanded.
