BaiGnTWATEB Friday, 1 p.m. The rain continued at intervals during the night and early this morning, but owing to the dry and stony nature of the ground it did not lie long, and little or no inconvenience was experienced in the Camp, but the shooting was delayed a little to let the grass dry. The 1 5th match began about 10.30 and is now going on. Several men have finished the 200 yardß range and some fine shooting has been made ; Okey of Taranaki scoring 7 consecutive bulls eyes. There are 3 or 4 of 27 each, several of 26 and many have made 25. MATCH No, 15. Ladies' Prize. Any member. 200, 259, and 300 yards, 7 shots at each distance. 1 prize-ring presented by Mrs N. Y. A. Wales, Dunedin, and other prizes. There are 125 ties for the this match which is likely to occupy all day. It is now raining steadily and hard. 340 p.m. The rain necessitated half 'an hour's spell, and the men have just gone out to the targets again as the shower has ceased. The last range for the Ladies' Purse ;has yet to be fired, and if there is time the first range of tbe last match for the championship will come off before breakfast to-morrow in order that the finish of the contest may take place in the afternoon, when a large crowd of visitors, is expected. |
