The Murray leaves Hokitika for Greymouth to-morrow morning. The Wallace left for Wanganui yesterday at 2 p.m. She siiived there at 1.15 this morning, and returns to Nelson to-morrow. The Union Company intend doing away with their agency at Wellington, and will appoint a local manager instead. The Arawata, with the Suez mail, arrived at the Bluff yesterday, and at Port Chalmers this morning. She will reach here on Saturday morning. The Wellington left Onehunga at 8.45 am. today, will arrive here to morrow evening, and sail for Picton and Wellington at 9 a.m. on Friday. The Lyttelton arrived at Blenheim at 6 p.m. yesterday, and leaves there for Wellington with a load of wool to day. Prom the latter port she will make another trip to Otaki. The Charles Edward left for Kekerangu and Wellington at 2 p.m. yesterday. She arrived at the former plaoe at 5 o'clock this moruiag, and the weather being fine she is loading rapidly with wool, and will leave this evening for Wellington. _ The Taiaroa sailed for Picton and Wellington at 5 p.m. yesterday, and arrived at the latter port this morning. She leaves there to-morrow afternoon, will arrive on Friday morning, and sail for Taranaki and Mauukau by the same tide at 1 1 a.m. It is said that a company is being floated in Melbourne for the purpose of obtaining from Glasgow a large steel paddle steamer, which Kill carry 1000 passengers and steam 20 knots. The steamer is to be employed in running excursion trips in Hobsou's Bay. The Kennedy returned to port this moming. She reports leaving Nelson on Thursday, the 2nd, at 4 p.m , for Westport, and arrived there on Friday at noon; discharged cargo and left for Hokitika same evening, arriving there by next morning's tide; sailed for Greymouth in the afternoon, and arrived same tide; left for Westport on Monday evening, crossing the Buller bar on Tuesday morniDg; left same tide for Nelson, arriving here as above, after a smooth water passage. The Kennedy sails for Wellington at seven o'clock this evening.
