RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT

[Before L. Broad, Esq., R.M.] Hodder and Co. v. Morley.— Action to recover £35 Os m for goods supplied. Defendant confessed judgment. An attempt was then made to recover against Mrs Morley in respect of her separate estate. Mr Acton Adams appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Pitt for the defendant. Judgment was given for plaintiffs against Mr Morley, but as agaiust Mrs Morley they were nonsuited. [Before R. Pollock and G. Gillow Esns J.J.P.] ' i ' Touet v. Pascoe.— Action to recover £j0 for 20 weeks' rent at 10s. The sum of £8 and costs was paid into Court. Mr Bunny appeared for the plaintiff and Mr Pitt for the defendant. Judgment was given for the amount paid into Court, the plaintiff to pay the defendant's costs. Eliza Hurfit, of the Bush Tavern was charged by Malcolm Stevenson with supplying Henry Coombes with liquor when he was already m a state of intoxication.
