HORTICULTURAL SHOW.
Notwithstanding the very unfavorable state of the weather there was n good at- j tendance at the Show last night, the Hall I being quite as full as was comfortable, several people having come in from the country in addition to those who attended j from the town. The flowers, beautiful as they were, had, however, to give, way in point of attraction to the magnificent pyrotechnic display which was going on outside in the shape of the most vivid blue lightning j that has been seen in Nelson for a long time. ' To-day the collection of flowers is far superior both in quantity and quality to that of yesterday, despite the heavy rain that fell during the aight. The fresh exhibits of roses comprise one collection of three, three of six, three of 12, two of 24, and two of 36, | and very lovely flowers they are. Of .bouquets and stands of flowers there are three times as many as yesterday, and the centre table is the great attraction of the day. The Show will be open again to-night.
