The Pelorus sailed for Havelock this morning. The Sisters and Midge are loading with tramway rails for Waitapu. The Goldseeker has been chartered to ■bring a load of coal from liuatunawhau, for which port she sails on Monday afternoon. The Lyttelton took in a quantity of cargo for Blenheim to-day, and will sail for that port early to-morrow morning. The Woodbine will finish discharging cargo on Monday, and take in the requisite quantity of ballast the same day. She sails for Newcastle on Tuesday. The Arawata sailed shortly after noon to-day for Wellington, South, and Melbourne with the Suez mail. She should arrive at Wellington this evening, and leaves there for Lyttelton at 3 p.m. on Monday. The Taiaroa arrived at Wellington at 9 p.m. yesterday. She left there for Nelson to-day at three p.m. in place of the Ladybird, will arrive here by the early morning tide tomorrow, and sail for Taranaki and Mannkau at 2 p.m. same day. The Wellington sailed for Picton and "Wellington at 11 a.m. to-day. She leaves the letter port on the return trip on Monday at I p.m., will arrive here early ou Tuesday morning, and return to Pictou and Wellington at 2 p.m. The Wallace sailed this afternoon for Itiwaka for the purpose of towing across to Nelsou a number of logs which were intended to be used in the construction of tbo Motueka bridge, but were not required. She will return, here this eveuing, aud sail for Wanganui at 9 p.m. on Monday. While iv Melbourne the Arawata was placed iv the dock, and underwent a thorough overhaul, and was cleaned and painted from truck to kee!. She is now in splendid fettle, as is evidenced by the quick passage she made from Melbourne to the Bluff, the time occupied from wharf to wharf being 3 days 22 hours. On one day she logged 354 miles, or a fraction under fifteen miles per hour for the 24 hours. She made the passage from Wellington to Nelson in eight hours and ahalf, part of which time she was steaming about in the bay adjusting her compassess.
