To the Editor ov the 'Eveuixo Mail.' Sir — While cordially endorsing the whole of the resolutions passed at the public meeting on Tuesday evening, I think that something more is wanting. I would suggest that a deputation be formed consisting of some of the gentlemen who took an active part in the meeting to proceed to Wellington on the reassembling of Parliament and lay the whole question before Ministers. Perhaps it would be as well to invite representatives from Marlborough and the Buller to join the deputation. — I am, &c, C. P. September 5, 1878.
