PARLIAMENTARY.

Wellington, Tuesday. Mr Curtis gives notice that he will move the following resolutions : — (1) That the section of the " Constitution Act " giving the Governor power to nominate members to the Legislative Council be repealed. (2) That the number of members of the Legislative Council be one half that of the House of Representatives. (3) That Tacariciee in the Council be filled by persons elected by a ballot of the House of Representatives.— (4) That upon any Bill passed by the Houae being objected to by the Council in two successive sessions the House may require that the Council and House sit together for tbe consideration of Buch Bill, and if a majority of two thirds of the united body vote in favor of tbe Bill, it shall be deemed to have passed both Houses. (5) That there be a similar provision when the House twice rejects a Bill passed by the 1 Council.
