To the Editor of the 'Evening Mail. Sir— For the benefit of the public to know how to deal with .their tenants, would you kindly insert these few lines. To-day I had again to sue Mr Pascoe for rent ; I sued for four weeks' rent at 10s per week according to deed. Last month the Court said that I should have given him a written notice, so I at once served him with a notice that the rent would be 10s per week according to deed. He objected again to pay it, so [ sued him. I may state that I bad a proper deed stamped and well worded. Mr Bunny has explained with great ability to the Court the right of my deed and the written notice, so that several persona told me afterwards they felt sure I would gain the day. I have showed my deed to several business people, and everyone is puzzled. I hope someone will throw light on the subject. Sir, tbis is the judgment of the Court— 8s per week, and myself to pay all expenses. H. Curtis, Esq., Chairman of the Court. I am, &c, -. . E. Touet. Nelson, July 24, 18"8.
